Connect Popl to Outlook for syncing Popl leads to Outlook contacts
In this document, we will provide a step by step walkthrough of how to set up your full-team integration to Outlook! This integration will instantly sync Popl leads to each team member's respective Outlook account. This integration will automatically map the fields below from the Popl lead to the Outlook contact with no additional configuration needed:
First name
Last name
Email
Job Title
Company name
Phone number
Website
Location
Prerequisites
Microsoft Email Account: — Must be a Microsoft 365 Admin to connect Outlook Contact Sync - Full Team Integration. — Ensure that the emails of your Popl team members are the same emails used for their Outlook accounts.
Access to Dash.Popl.co: You should have an active account on Dash.Popl.co.
Microsoft Outlook: Make sure you have a Microsoft Outlook account that you can link to Popl.
Step 1: Accessing the Outlook Full Team Integration
From the home page of Popl Dashboard, click into the "Integrations" tab
Scroll down within the Integrations section, you’ll then find the Email Header section.
Under Email Header, locate and click on the Outlook (Full-Team) option.
Step 2: Connecting to Outlook
You will be met with a ‘Connect Integration’ popup where you’ll be prompted to connect your Outlook account. Click the Connect bottom.
A Microsoft login window will then appear asking you authenticate into your Outlook account. Accepting the following permissions are required for the integration to function: — User.Read.All — Contacts.ReadWrite
After successfully authenticating, the Microsoft authentication window will disappear and you will see a green checkmark and "Authenticated (ready to connect)" message. Click connect one last time.
Once connected, you will see a green checkmark on the Outlook Full Team integration in Popl.
Step 3: Sync Settings and AutoSync
After successfully connecting your Microsoft account, you will be directed to the Outlook Configuration page.
Here, you’ll find an option for Sync Settings. — By default, Auto Sync is toggled on. The Auto Sync workflow will automatically sync leads from Popl to Outlook at the very moment that a team member captures a new lead. This workflow completely removes any sort of manual data entry or lead selection, saving you time and increasing efficiency. If Auto Sync is turned on, any updates you make to an already synced lead will trigger a re-sync of that lead. — You have the option to toggle off auto sync if you prefer to sync leads manually. This is best if you'd like to choose which leads you want to sync over to Outlook, providing more control over this process. Details on how to perform this manual sync are explained below.
Step 4: Manually Exporting Leads
To manually export a Lead:. a. Go to the Leads Page b. Locate the Export icon next to the lead and click it. d. Select Export to Outlook and click Confirm Export.
After exporting, a green banner will appear and export the icon will change to the Microsoft Outlook icon, indicating the successful export of the lead.
